September 6 is National Read a Book Day each year in the United States. This year it falls on a Sunday which is the perfect day to get started on a new book — especially if you have Monday off for the Labor Day holiday! Today, I’m starting the 2014 book, Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less, by Greg McKeown. I pared down my belongings three years ago when I sold the house I had been in for nearly 20 years (you can imagine all the stuff I had accumulated!). I continue to try of keep my purchases and my activities to the essentials for living the life I want to live. I’m looking forward to reading what McKeown has to say on the subject. You can click the image below to buy Essentialism on Amazon if it interests you, also (yes, it’s my affiliate link 😉).
